Cycling is a cheap, healthy and sustainable activity for the whole family. Medway offers a range of cycle routes including the famous Heron Trail (see it in GPS). If you don't own a bike, why not hire one from your local cycle shop?

The Heron Trail is a lovely 18 mile (29km) circular route on the Hoo Peninsula, bounded by two great rivers, the Thames to the North and the Medway to the South. Have you done it, or are you considering doing it? Send us your stories about it.
If you want to start cycling regularley, the West Kent Cyclists Touring Club organises about 15 rides each week in various parts of West Kent, including Medway. These are listed on the calendar on its website. For more details, phone West Kent CTC leader Geoff Hunt on 01634 719504
