The new home of Football in Gillingham

Playfootball.net are pleased to announce information regarding our brand new £2m, purpose built football venue which will open at The Howard School, on London Road in January 2010!!

We will have 8 outdoor floodlit 5-a-side pitches and a 7 a side pitch, all equipped with an artificial 5th generation, rubber crumb cushioned compound surface. The same surface as used by Liverpool, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich’s training academies.

Men’s League information

Pick The Night You Play - Our Adult leagues run on a Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. Just tell us which night is best for you. All leagues are FA sanctioned with qualified referees ensuring professional play.
More Football For Your Money - Each team will play 1 weekly match consisting of either 40 minutes for 5-a-side or 25 minutes for 7-a-side. Rebound boards and roof nets mean you get the fast paced football you want.
Flexible Kick Off Times – Kick off times alternate between 6.45pm and 9.00pm for the 5-a-side and between 7.00pm and 9.30pm for the 7-a-side. 1 match each week to provide your team with the flexibility needed to get the most out of your season.
Build Your Squad - Teams can register up to 14 players in their squad for the season, and use up to 8 players per night for 5-a-side and 10 players per night for the 7-a-side
No More Burns - Our 5G rubber crumb artificial grass pitches means no more scrapes or burns. You can play in moulded or astro boots just like the real thing.
Track Your Progress - Get your fixtures, results and league position on our website and impress your friends with your performance!

We will also grade your team with a full grading game before the season starts and allocate you a place in a division to suit your ability.

£1000 Opening Tournament

We shall open the venue with a prestigious Adult 5-a-side tournament with a cash prize fund of £1000. This is an exclusive tournament open only to teams who have already signed up to play in one of our leagues!!

There will be 5 tournament heat dates to choose from and grand final to decide the overall winners. Heat dates are from Sunday to Thursday. All teams will play 4 or 5 matches with a guaranteed 40 minutes football in the group stages followed by the knockout stages and all 4 semi-finalists from across the 5 nights will return the following Sunday to compete in a Grand Final with the cash prize fund being shared on the basis of final placings between the last 4.

HOW DO I SIGN UP?

We just require sign up fee to register your team

This can be paid by credit or debit card over the phone to quickly ensure your team is registered or you can come down to our temporary office at the ROKO Health Club on Watling Street and pay in person (call in advance to ensure a member of staff can meet you as we are often out on promotions)

Once your payment has been secured your place and promotions are then guaranteed and all the relevant paperwork will then be sent out to you.

Casual and Block Bookings

All off our pitches are available to be booked on an ad hoc casual basis whenever you want one or if you're looking for a something a little more regular, on a weekly block booking.

With a Block Booking, all you have to do is turn up each week and your booking is guaranteedleaving you without the hassle of having to call to book your slot each week in the hope that it is still available!!

We have a range of opening offers for you to take advantage of if you sign up for a block booking beofre the end of December, theseinclude: a heavily discounted booking price equivalent to1 free week, a bar voucher and a complimentary Adidas football.

Birthday Parties Information

PlayFootball is a great venue for your children’s birthday party and are suitable for children aged 5 years and upwards. The day will include:

· 2 hour party package
· Up to 1 ½ hours of football
· Food included for up to 10 children
· Dedicated party host/ coach for the duration of the party
· PlayFootball invitations to give to friends
· Trophy for the birthday child
· Half time drinks (fruit squash)
· Medals for all children attending the party
· Goody bags for each child

Price only £13.50 per person (based on a minimum 10 children)

There is no maximum although parties of 17 children and over will incur a further £20 charge for a second coach to meet with the FA Coaching requirements. Parties can be booked at weekends or weekdays during the school holiday’s.

We will also be running coaching courses and holiday camps. Once we have finalized the details for these we will be in touch.
